Five Things You Can Do To Improve Your  Life

1)  Laugh more. People always say that laughter is the best medicine. I personally think this is true. I'm all about getting good grades and putting school first and that can be a little stressful sometimes. What I do to relieve all that stress is   laugh. I watch  funny videos and I hang out with my best friend  Meli.  After I do all these activities I feel  a better and don’t feel Like punching a baby anymore.

2) Care less/more. I say care less, but still care, but only about the more important things. Stop caring of what others think of you.  Only care of what the ones you love think and your self. Do what makes you happy. You only have one life, live it how you want it.  If you care to much of what others think you're not going to succeed in life.

3) Be wise. You can’t just wake up in the morning and decide to be wise . You have to become wise over time, but to speed up that process you should try reading more books and become somewhat of a wallflower. Keeping all comments to yourself and lying when necessary is a great way of becoming wise. Basically just don’t be an asinine teenager and be somewhat mature when you have too. Reading more books will help you.

4) KEEP FOOD IN YOUR LIFE.  I know that sounds like a joke, but I am not lying to you. If you keep food in your life you will for sure never be sad. Food is amazing and its here to help us out and stay alive. Some people avoid food because they are afraid of gaining an amount of weight. See here, most people who participate on these harmful diets only inflict horrible sickness upon themselves like; bulimia, anorexia, and etc.  Food is your friend when none else is there. Food brings everyone happiness, why do you think families go out to eat on special occasions or make BBQs? All of these things bring families together. It’s just such beautiful thing. I don’t know about all you folks, but food is my everything.

5) Get a hobby. I would recommend obtaining a hobby of some sort so you can keep yourself busy. If you don’t keep yourself busy you'll most likely become bored or even depressed. I know this is true for me because when I have nothing to do and I stay at home all day I can become really sad. I have anxiety problems so having a hobby is great for me because it keeps my mind clear and fresh. It’s a great distraction from whatever is stressing you out. Hobbies also give you a reason to live or wake up in the morning. Hobbies are just a great tool to have in your life.

My favorite mistake

Couple years ago when I was in sixth grade I got involved into a really big argument with mom. I don't exactly remember why my mom and I got into the argument; however, I do remember it was violent. If I were to guess to as why the fight even started I would guess it was all because of my hair. Back in the sixth grade I started to change my appearance a little bit. I grew out my hair, wore darker clothing, and I got into alternative/ rock music. My mother, did not approve of my new style choice. After the dramatic fight with my mom, I ran away.

I didn't go far, I traveled down my street to my grandmothers'. I remained there for a day. As soon as I walked in I could smell the fresh baked goods baking in the oven. I was not off the hook, my grandma gave me a big lecture in how I should not talk back to my elders nor fight with them. She did the same with my mom. My mom had a conversation with mom over the phone, I tried my best to hear what they said. They both sounded mad.
"I do not care if he comes back or not, I have my two other kids that I can love." Said my mom angrily.
"How can talk like that? He's your son." Fired back my grandmother.
"If he won't do as I say then my two other kids will."
"It's just the anger speaking, you will take back every word you said." Said my my grandmother right before hanging up the phone.
I was missing my mom even though she did say that she didn't want me to come back. Hearing her say such words made me extreamly sad becuase I truley missed my mom.
I cried for the whole night. I became very pensive and thought of how my life would be form then on. Would I actuly have to live with my grandmother from now on? Will I never see my mom again? Will my mom and I ever speak to eachother again? all these thoughts were roaming my little twelve year old mind. Everything soon came to a suddle hualt the day after when my aunt, Alejandra, learned about the scandle. My aunt made me and my mom talk to each other and work it out.

Later that day, my grandmother made me return home. Once there, I then participated in a long and meanyful long talk with my aunt and my mom. My aunt made us talk everything out. I apologized to my mom and she did the same thing. We hugged it out and we made up. One major reason why I regreted running away was becuase I then after had to put everything away. All my clothes in my closet, all my shoes were they go, evrything had to be put back. That was one big pain in the neck. The marrow to the story is that, everything that goes up must come down.

LITERATURE ANALYSIS #1

Crispin The Cross of Lead
By Avi

In this novel many exciting events occurs during a small period of time. In the exposition we start out with a young boy and his mother who dies, both start out to be nothing; living in a small village where they're treated like trash by everyone who inhabits the small village. In the inciting incident the main character is blamed for crime which he has not committed. He is then tittled a "Wolf's head" which back in that time period was considered a real big deal and extremely bad. The main character doesn't really have a name, he's known and goes by Asta's son. Asta was his mother who earlier in the novel dies. Soon after the main character is proclaimed a Wolf's head, the priest of the village, and only friend of the character, reveals to him his true name. The character is astonished to discover his true name, his name has been Crispin. Crispin is wanted and looked for all over his town so that he can pay in death for the crime which he was acussed for. Crispin trys to avoid the charged crime so he runs away from the town. He later on meets a man that goes by Bear. Bear end up claiming Crispin as his own and they become friends. Bear helps Crispin escape and teaches him new ways. They travel far and end up in a great big town where they end up face to face with one of the soldiers from Crispin's old town. The solider attempt to capture Crispin, but do not successfully capture him. In the climax bear gets captured by the soldiers and crispin goes to his aid and saves Bear. In the resolution Crispin also discovers that he is not trash, but royalty and comes from fine blood. Crispin is then left alone and allowed to live a happy life with his new father, Bear. The setting has to do sometime around 1373.  The purpose for the author I think is to reach out to readers who feel as if they are to small to over come big obstacles and too inspire readers.

I feel as if the theme of the story was struggle, friendship, adventure, loyalty and death.

literary elements: In one of the chapters of the book Bear tells Crispin that he's as ignorant as a turnip. Quote, "True, youre as ignorant as a turnip." pg. (156)
example of struggle," his bloodstained body was stripped and walted as if he had been whipped." pg. (282)
Example of adventure in the book, "Over the next twenty days , we sometimes followed roads, sometimes only paths. Now and again we made our way through open fields." pg. (152)
Example of imagery, "A steady, hissing rainhad turned the ground to clinging mud. No birds sang. no bells tolled. The sun hid behind the dark and lowering clouds." pgs. (1,2)
Great supporting example of struggle and death, "I peered closer only to see his throat had been slit. His blood made, made black by night, lay pooled upon the ground." pg. (55)

Monkey's Paw

The Monkey’s Paw
  1.   If you had three wishes, what would they be?  Why?  (No wishing for more wishes.)  Explain each response. My first wish would be to be able to slide though life with out a problem. I don't like to struggle at all and sadly struggling comes with life. Second wish would be to have a fast and painless death when I die. wWhy? becuase I simpley do not like pain. Third wish would be live in a whole different world. A better one, a nice one, an accepting one. I say I wish I lived in a diffrent world simply becuase this world is so jacked up.
  2.    Is there anything that you are superstitious about?  Explain.  (If not, explain why not.) : I'm some what superstitious only becuase I wouldn't trust my wish granter. Most times they add a plot twist or a catch.

Antigone campare and contrast

In the tragic play Antigone, by sophoulules, a young girl who desperately wants to pay respect to her dead brother will have to break the law and go against her king in order to bury the brother she loves and pay him with a proper burial. There are several differences between the two main characters which cause some of the main conflicts in the play. Antigone the girl who attempts to bury her brother will break the king's laws. Creon, the king of the state, does not want anyone to give Antigone's brother a proper burial. Both characters want the opposite for Polynices. This creates many problems.

Antigone and Creon are very both similar and different in several ways. Both are loyal in different ways. Antigone is loyal to family. Antigone is loyal to all her family's wishes. Antigone said, "That must be your excuse, but as for me I will burry the brother I love" (6, 68) . I can tell that she is loyal to family because she is willing to break the law that was made for the public good out of respect of her dead brother. she's also loyal to the gods. She said that the god's laws are stronger and more powerful than king Creon's laws. (2,65) This proves that she's loyal to the gods. Creon is also loyal too, but he's loyal to something else in a whole other level. Creon Is loyal to his state. Creon said quote," You will give no support to who ever breaks the law (2,59). This shows his loyalty towards his state. He is not loyal to family. He didn't care for Antigone's brother even if he die. This shows some a couple differences between the two characters.

While Antigone and Creon share both similarities and differences their both also filled with a lot of pride. Antigone said quote ," Creon is not strong enough to stand in my way. (2,26). That shows some of Antigone 's pride. It also shows that she's not scared of Creon. Creon said," An enemy is enemy even dead" (2,134). That quote shows some of Creon's pride for his state.

In conclusion I would say that both characters are to blame for the tragedy. Antigone is to blame because she cares to much for her family and contains to much pride. Creon is also to blame because he care to little for family and also has to much pride. Both characters are to blame for their stubbornness. Antigone doesn't care for Creon's laws and Creon doesn't care for the God's laws. Both characters are to blame.
